Research Review 2001 – 2006
This page is about the research review 2001 – 2006 of the faculty of Aerospace Engineering.
Delft University of Technology makes use of the national evaluation system. In this system all publicly funded research is evaluated once every six years. Once every three years research units will produce a self-evaluation, alternating between preparations for the external evaluation and serving as an internal mid-term evaluation. These evaluations are carried out according to the Standard Evaluation Protocol.
The evaluation system aims at three objectives:
- improvement of the quality of research;
- improvement of research management;
- accountability to higher levels of the research organisations and funding agencies, government, and society at large.
The latest evaluation report of the faculty of Aerospace Engineering was published in June 2002. It combined the review for research and education. Here you can find a link to the website of QANU .
This time the site visit will take place 11 – 14 November 2008. It relates to the period 2001 – 2006. Prof.dr.ir. D.H. van Campen is chairman of the Comittee. In January 2009 the Committee will present the evaluation report to the Board of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering.
Self-assessment
The faculty has written a self-assessment detailing the research of the faculty over the years 2001 – 2006. If you are interested in a hardcopy of the assessment send an e-mail to J.M.E.Berbee@tudelft.nl.
