World solar challenge

Every two years, teams from all over the world gather in Australia for the world championship race for solar powered cars. Teams from Universities and companies alike race across the Australian desert in solar powered cars of their own design

The race starts out in Darwin, in the north of Australia and runs straight south through the hartland of Australia to Adelaide, a distance of 3000 kilometers. Most teams have spent two years designing and building their solar powered cars and the World Solar Challenge is the accumination of these efforts.
