Talking to André Kuipers via a live video connection
02 January 2012 by Web editor AEOn Tuesday 10 January 2012 between 3:00 and 4:30 pm, the faculty of Aerospace Engineering expects to have a live video connection from space with André Kuipers in lecture room A.
The Belgian astronaut Frank de Winne will be in charge of the video connection and give TU Delft students the opportunity to ask questions. It is not yet clear at exactly which time the faculty will contact André Kuipers in space. However, we expect to be able to talk to him for more than 10 minutes.
Students and staff members may join in the inflight call by showing their campus card. Non-TU Delft people can only be present by invitation. We expect lots of visitors; once the room is full, nobody else will be allowed in. So reserve 10 January 2012 in your diary!
The global programme is as follows:
3:15 pm Welcome by Prof. Ambrosius in Lecture room A
3.20 pm Introduction by Frank de Winne about the Space Station
3.55 pm Start Inflight call
4.10 pm End Inflight call
